Rumour has it that 12 of the DEPs coming on to the 744 at BA are RAF helicopter pilots. Has anyone else heard this?
I would have thought that it would be more appropriate to send them to the 737 or the A320 to cut their teeth. I just can't see that the 744, with 1 or 2 landings a month, is a good place to start your civilian fixed wing flying career.
Perhaps the military will allow me to play with an AH64 on my days off
