SFI and CRMI under EASA

Hello.
I've lost my medical after 20 yrs / 10,000 hrs and am wondering about re-training to become a Sim instructor in the UK.
Has anyone been through this process in recent times that could clear up a few grey areas for me?

To renew a CRMI (now CRMT) I must sit a refresher course and be examined whilst presenting a course to live students. I can't get this gig until I have the CRMI back and the company I am looking to work for do not currently have a CRM course for me to teach. A bit "Catch 22"? Is there a way round this?

The next part is the CORE course, now called "Teaching and Learning" which, I believe, is different from the similarly named section of the original CRMI course. Finding someone in the UK to provide a CORE course is not simple and I am not sure if there are any potential problems with finding a suitable course that would allow me to go on to teach MCC and JOC. Am I also right in saying that JOC does not require the CORE course for anyone to present it?

Any info would be gratefully received and I'll try to catch any PMs as soon as possible.
