Thanks for the request Heliport

What type of flying work do you do?

I'm a 'contract pilot', so don't really have a full time job. I usually get around 500-600 hours annually though. Mostly Fire suppression and Ag. I fly fixed wing ag as well.

What types(s) do you fly?

Most current helicopter ride is an old UH-1B. Have wanted to fly one since I was 7 years old. Took me 32 years but finally did it.
Have done some spraying with it but mostly fire's now.

Where? (As precise as you can be without losing anonymity.)

Queensland, Australia.

Previous jobs?

Only ever aviation really. Learnt to fly at 17. Got my F/w CPL at 19. Helicopter license at 20. Spent about 10 years mustering in a Hughes 300 during the winter and F/w spraying in the summers.
The majority of my total time is still on one particular 300.

Previous types?

Hiller 12 E, H-300, R-22, B-206, B-47/T
No 500 time yet dammit!

Military / ex-Military? (Which? What types?)

Civil. All civil, well mostly (don't like being cut off in the circuit!)

How long have you been flying?

Almost 27 years( I know, a non-achiever.)

How many hours?

15,600 or something. Who cares really? (Anybody ever ask old truck drivers how many hours they have?)

Without wanting to sound like too much of a '8 ' I would just like to say that, having just discovered this forum. I think Rotorheads is great! The input from some of the contributors is incredible. Being able to communicate one on one with the likes of Nick , Rich , Lu and Co. just blows me away. A better source of helicopter truths and wisdom I have not yet seen.:
