I know we sometimes have a whinge at MAN about lifts and escalators not working and express disappointment when expected or hoped for new routes don't materialise, but I have to say the departure board in T2 this morning looked pretty impressive with these 6 flights showing one after the other:
10.10 SQ to IAH
10.15 SV to JED
10.20 VS to ATL
11.00 HU to PEK
11.10 SQ to SIN
11.55 CX to HKG
roverman's post a couple of pages back was a wonderful analogy of the challenges MAN faces going west in the present climate, but with growth from SV & CX to come later this year and Oman starting in May, developments going east should help to counteract any set backs should they occur as far as transatlantic traffic is concerned.
