Just a suggestion - if thinking seriously maybe contact Proctor Aviation (a local agent) to see what they have on the books, also heard Sigma mentioned as maybe having guys on their books in India, other agents have fingers in the Indian pie as well but some seem limited to heavier aluminium.
This is NOT to say who may be good/bad/indifferent agent if you proceed simply a starting point; equally T&C's could vary greatly between different operators, caveat emptor as to what might work...or not.
Jet this last week sold 3 ATR's - no idea if staying local or being exported - and cancelled the contracts of 5/6 foreign Captains at various stages of the training process, think maybe even some cleared to line (but don't quote me).
ATR seems quite prevalent, more so than Dash 8's - or so it seems IMHO.
