Maribo
I am a bit surprised that anybody would want to risk investing so much money into Maribor airport. I visited this boring non-descript town 2 years ago, and it alone would not attract so many Brits. It's not too far from Ljubljana, a far nicer city. Of course Slovenia on the whole is a beautiful country, and the Slovenians have proved already there is some sort support for a London service. But a regular A320 into SEN; are you sure? Surely a 70-80 seater would be sufficient. I love nice surprises but I have my doubts about this one.
By the way, what did you local guys think of the FlyBe advert in the Evening Echo yesterday? I thought it was a wishy-washy weak poorly designed advert. If I was paying for that I would have asked for a refund. Anyway, let's hope the advertising campaign will kick in now and bums will fill seats on all their routes from SEN.
