In Raw Data approach did they allow you to fly the NDB with HDG SEL and VS mode?
And what about the others people which not familiar with the MCP...did they use HSI, RMI?

I guess youre referring to FD. I've got in the briefing package that FD is allowed during the approach phase. Must be hand-flyed though.
I think, as long as you involve your PM asking him to set HDG, ALTs, CRS, delegating tasks and other stuff regarding a good CRM learnt in a MCC Course, you will be fine.
What they want is to see how you develop throughout the sim. You will learn to fly the 737 by the numbers during the Type rating course. At least that is my opinion.
