The Gipsy Moth flown by Chichester was a well designed light aeroplane.
The Tiger Moth was cobbled together from a Moth Major, shoving the top wing forward, hacking away at the interplane struts, sawing bits off the rear spars... A fine aeroplane was turned into an awful contraption.
