Could the requirement for another pilot to be with her have been some kind of insurance requirement? A "safety pilot", particularly after taxiing into the Robinson? It doesn't make any of it "right" but it could explain a few things. Sorry, not familiar where the Robbo accident fits into the timeline of the deception.
