If T45 is designed to be an AA picket then maybe its deliberately left "noisy" to be a deterrent. Makes a no fly zone?

Interestingly I once read that when King George VI (I think) was serving in the Royal Navy, he became so acclimatised to the ships noise that when he came back to land he couldn't sleep unless he had a tape recording of the ship playing at his bedside. As he could no longer sleep if it was too quiet!
