Is Eastern currently making or losing money ? I suspect with the strong Aberdeen focus of the airline, and the troubles of the oil/gas industry right now, Eastern is probably at best breaking even and more likely losing money.
It's never a pleasant situation but would people in the know care to suggest things that would have a significant cost-cutting impact and ensure the airline continues to be profitable when passenger numbers are down due substantially to external factors outside Eastern's control ?
Remember - a company has to be profitable long term without needing shareholder bailouts; the alternative is the company closing its doors for good
