Agreed - possibly in court if you have exceeded your RFM limits by 'fudging' the figures instead of using the graphs properly and it has all gone horribly wrong.
At least if you have a working knowledge of the rules of thumb, you know if you are close to the limits and can then use the graphs/whizzwheel for clarity.
