It sounds very similar to the page/experience I have referred to on the 'mac scam' thread. I was just mooching around the prune website and suddenly got a full page banner ad telling me to update my adobe flash etc. It looked very suspicious, and given that I had not gone to any obvious page requiring videos etc I was very perplexed by it.
