I'm route 2 with CTC and the requirements to be upgraded haven't been disclosed by easyJet yet, so not many people know. However, I am told that the top performers on each course will be upgraded - how many I do not know.
But unless you're really aching for an MPL license, route 2 is nothing to be worried about! I've already signed a contract with easyJet stating 'upon successful completion of flight training with an MPL or ATPL License, by signing this contract you are required to accept an offer of employment by easyJet upon graduation'.
That ties you to easyJet from day 1. So again, the only difference is the license, all routes have the good stuff at the end.
