While it's great to see new routes, it's a route to an already served point.
So far, there have been 10 new routes announced in 2017, and only 3 of those are currently unserved (Casablanca, London City and Riyadh).
I wonder at what cost we could have a Seville or Bucharest, to which Ryanair have extensive and growing operations (Seville had 2 new routes announced today, to Cologne and Hamburg with Ryanair). These 2 routes are probably 2 of the larger unserved gaps in the Manchester portfolio at this time.
I have no doubt this new route from Ryanair could push Germanwings off the route, so, it's won't necisarily be a win win for this new route.
