Don't forget that it's only the westbound service which stops in Europe, eastbound if direct from JFK to Pakistan. It's a tech stop but PIA sells tickets on the MAN/LEJ - JFK leg of the journey. So if LEJ gets the stopover, you'll be able to fly directly to JFK but will need to take a connecting flight to get back home.
I wouldn't be surprised to see Pakistan on Trump's hit list so PIA would have to either file for Canada or/or terminate in MAN.
