I agree, AFT in Exeter are excellent. I don't know of anyone who went over minimums there, they simply aren't interested in fleecing you. They teach you what you need to know for the test, and show you that it's actually pretty straightforward and structured. I don't know what stage you're at, presumably post - PPL. To give you an idea of costs in SA, mandiba offer PPL, hour building, MEP, CPL and MEIR for £20,000. Fly for a bit in Africa, then come back and convert. If you can get 500 multi crew you could potentially convert straight to full ATPL on a sim and skip CPL/IR altogether.
