PC/Red tape gone berserk.
Valid Part 61 Pilots Licence, Current Drivers Licence, Current Aviation medical, Aircraft registered to me sitting on tarmac. What other evidence should be necessary to get to my aircraft
Edited because I also forgot to add my Seniors Card, ABN, TFN, and a truckload of club memberships that haven't kicked me out yet.
An ASIC/AVID is no better a defence against terrorism than any of the above.
I believe even the US doesn't have this ridiculous requirement even after their personal 9/11 attack which brought this whole ASIC thing on. Is this correct?
Doesn't seem to be a problem getting OFF the aerodrome without ASIC/AVID...............
If I don't have the gate code to get back IN, I'll get someone else to 'escort' me airside when I want to depart Never had a problem because everyone except the numbskulls realise that the whole ASIC/AVID is crap.
We need to push back on this BS.
