I dont care what the MEN puts to be honest, it's not exactly the most watertight source of facts at the best of times. It's also, for me, got nothing to do with 'being realistic'. I don't understand what there is to be 'unrealistic' about with these new routes?
A new route is a new route, I care not a jot of its just 'filling a gap', I just don't get this Manchester thing of -new route announced 'but it's not BA proper' 'but they are only doing it because they don't know what else to do with an idle aircraft'.
Even if it is just making use of an idle aircraft, there was competition to get these routes, as I know BHX was also in contention, and with extensive charters at GLA/EDI, could have been just as easy to sup
Lament those charters with scheduled flights as seen as the aircraft are there anyway, but they chose MAN, so, that is where the positive lies.
It's a new route, let's just celebrate it shall we.
