Nothing we can do as a Flt Ops dept could ever make up for such a gross mismanagement of capital. And as you said...where's the accountability? Our management is not fit for purpose. They are dinosaurs who's management style and attitudes are ill-suited for the modern airline industry. They are like alcoholics: the only ones who don't see the problem is themselves. They will drive this airline into the ground at an ever increasing rate. Not convinced? Just look at the mindless drivel they served up last week. It would be comical if it wasn't so tragic. I'm glad i'm nearing the end of the career. Couldn't imagine being in my 20's or 30's and seeing my career wasted by an unaccountable, incompetent and hostile group of managers such as we have in the Swires.
