Cliff Secord: The Fed-Ex rule come from the purchase of Flying Tiger Lines in the 1980s. They got the rights to fly Inter-Europe along with Trans World Airlines and Pan-Am after World War II.
We will see what happens with their purchase of TNT. Maybe a European Fed-Ex airline will start, just like they have Canadian registered B-757s that fly Inter-Canada for them.
We will also see what Norwegian WOW does with their American based crews and what license and registration they fly under.
One thing is for sure. What we want (no matter what side of the fence we sit on) will not be considered in the decision.
