Flynomore on page 1 says. They barely make any money on ticket sales. The majority of their profit comes from trolly sales.
So I'm to assume they buy aircraft that cost hundreds of millions of dollars, and millions a year to maintain and tens of thousands of dollars and hour to operate. Just so they can sell you a sandwich?
This is supposed to be an airline, where the service is provided at at fair profit for the owners and employees. It is not supposed to be a free public service.
I just don't understand the whole Ryanair, Easyjet business model. Even after someone has tried to explain it to me.
I've never had the pleasure of flying with a discount European airline. But a few years ago I was on a Aer Lingus Airbus from Dublin to London. It was like a flying bizarre. Scarfs, perfume, handbags, drinks. I felt embarrassed for the flight attendants. When I inquired about it, I was told they had agreed to it to avoid layoffs. They are safety professionals that are there to save your ass, not kiss it.
