Being a critic of the Stobart Group does not make you anti-SEN. It's clear that there are plenty out there that believe that their investment was poorly judged, and they lack the vision to make the airport work.
But if that is the case it doesn't mean we who live in the region have not benefited from their investment. And there are many like me who believe the airport can go from strength to strength and the future is bright because of the investment (adequate return or not).
I often think about the incredible waste of public money called the Millennium Dome. Then someone came along who knew how to make it work.....
So if they sell up one day and leave with heads held high or with tails between legs, it doesn't change my view that without them the airport would have ended up as a horrible derelict brown field site. And I do believe they deserve success, because anyone who invests and creates something of value that benefits real people is OK by me.
