Yes, Zot was a native Kiwi, of White Russian descent. After his spell in the RAF as a navigator, (finishing with a spell at Boscombe on Nimrod acceptance) he returned to NZ in about 1975, trained as a solicitor, practised for quite a while in Papua-New Guinea and is (or was when I last heard of him) retired in NZ.
He was retrieved in a 3-ton truck by the Pitreavie Mountain Rescue team, who transported him (and the Olympia 2) to Leuchars. They arrived at 3 a.m., and Zot didn't have a camera, so no photos. he described the field a a good flat field by the river at Crianlarich, which probably narrows it down, and that the grass was about 18 inches long, which meant it reached the surface of the water!
