In years 'gone by' we used to receive EVERY Christmas Eve, via the AFTN, Santa's FPL originating from Thule AFB Greenland, and the 'challenge' was to have every unit 'pass it on' until it circled the globe, back to Thule.
In the 'ole' days of teletype, I am led to believe that if it took under the hour for a full pass, then 'honour' was satisfied.
Nowadays, via computers, probably within 15 minutes or so.... or maybe 15 seconds....who knows..?
