It isn't the wrapping-paper that concerns me, it's the astronomical cost of posting something (anything) these days. Can you imagine fronting the counter at your local PO with one of those and saying "How much to send this?" It probably won't fit on the scales, and it's a tad too big to go into the letter-box as well.
I think they are actually being very very clever. It's a present that can transport its way right across the country all by itself, bypassing the need to actually deal with Auspost at all... genius!
