I suspect using the Dash is key in trying to make the routes viable.
In terms of fuel efficiency I assume. E175 would have offered more comfort and quicker flights which may also be a factor. For me the main factor will be if they secure agreements with the likes of United, Air New Zealand, and other major operators out of T2 to create seamless connections, similar to what they have with Etihad out of MAN.
