If I need to connect to anywhere in the world from MAN, for me AMS, MUC,ZRH or DXB suit me fine.
The last attempt to connect at LHR (T5-T2) was abysmal- never ever again.
To connect T5-T5 was OK ish but the actual service product, well let's say I wouldn't do that again either.
To be honest, unless you are a premium card holder with BA I'm unsure what the advantages are of going anywhere via LHR.
FRA is also a bit ropey to say the least from non Schengen to longhaul.
