EI won't lose money flying long haul ex SNN, and will operate the aircraft from Dublin instead. Shannon has done deals with airlines that harm the overall connectivity of the airport for short term gains. WX @ CDG and RE @ MAN come to mind of two routes killed by other carriers.
There's really no need to point out the obivous.
Also the code RE is not used anymore.
