I was recently talking to my old instructor who I haven't seen for a while, and we were discussing my upcoming IR(R) skills test. Invariably, we got onto the subject of CAA pen-pushing delays (
) when sending in my paperwork.
He was of the opinion that having passed my skills test, I was able to exercise the privileges of the rating before the CAA had rubber stamped everything.
Is anybody able to clarify?
