A LAA Permit is only valid in the Country of issue. It is required to be validated for every country to be overflown. I would love to see the Validations issued by Ethiopia, Sudan and some other dark places in Africa. Have you seen them JetBlu, or, to quote yourself so often, if this hearsay?
So how do you KNOW he has a valid Permit?
On the question of the flight to Jersey I'm sure you know that the landowner has to give permission to land . In this case it was refused so NOT good to go or divert.
They would no doubt have good valid reasons from past experience to withhold such permission.
