Flyer 1988,

Firstly welcome to that stage of your career!

I don't have any experience of Booker either, however like PHF, I have heard some positive feedback.

I did my IR at Blackbushe a number of years ago now, and that didn't have any instrument approaches either so we had to travel to places like Shoreham, Southend and occasionally Bristol to shoot the approaches, however, I didn't have a problem with this and went through in the minimum time. Obviously, talking to the guys at Booker they will be able to give you guidance on this.

Also, and everyone goes through it, myself included, but from experience I wouldn't get too hung up on the school you do your training at. At the end of the day as long as you have the licence you are potentially employable by any airline. I was modular, didn't go to any of the big schools for any phases of my training and I am now enjoying being a Commander with a very large British Airline based at LHR .

All the best with it and enjoy it. You have a really enjoyable future ahead of you, its the best job in the world believe me.
