1) Normal equipment is a 757-200 up to 28th July then a 767-300 for the rest of the season (to 27th October). So today's flight should have been a 763.
2) As expedite said, definately straight back to the UK. I believe BY pilots even do the likes of LGW-SSH-LGW in a single duty (with an 12:00ish report and 01:00 return)
UK-Cyprus-UK is also a single duty.
They may have a third (relief) pilot or even a whole second crew for the SSH runs though... still cheaper than a hotel room for the entire season in Egypt.
