I currently rent a hangar space from a Cherokee Archer owner. His plane is at his house going through a complete overhaul. It has a full glass cockpit and is far better than new. He could have bought a Cirrus for what he has in it. But he wanted an Archer, and that's what he got. He's happy as a clam with it.
Filing law suits and fighting with people just isn't my thing. I want to enjoy aviation. My plane has had work signed off in the log books that make my toes curl. Some of it's history is sinful. But now I know, I've got an excellent aircraft that will go the distance required.
I wouldn't own a plane if I wasn't an A&P mechanic and a CFI/II/ME Instructor. If I have problems that I don't know the answer too, I know who to call. They would never do me wrong.
