I have family who use them all of the time. Overpriced and unreliable are what they say. It was only a year ago that Sturgeon got involved with Loganair (none of the issues raised were attribuatable to flyBe), there was press coverage and protest groups on social media.

Yes they do operate some lifeline and unique services, but flying SYY-EDI/GLA they are very average and overpriced.

I'd like to see flyBE operate the Q400 on some of the busier routes hugging via EDI. I think they'll work and lack of competition if what has allowed LC to provide what has been a fairly shocking service of the last few years.
Flybe aren't a cheap airline to fly with either and you also have to add on bags to the price which you don't with Loganair. Flybe aren't the most reliable airline either. Their cancellation rate is pretty high and that's not flying into the poor weather conditions in the Highlands and Islands. Tech DH4s are also fairly common.
