Thanks for that very interesting report. As a former member of Aeroplume with a flexwing based at ELMD, I am always interested to read about the Lux aviation scene.
With regard to LFQV, both my visits were a positive experience. The first, many years ago, when I flew in with a friend and had an excellent lunch at the then airfield restaurant, As we emerged to return to the aircraft, I heard the sound of bagpipes coming from a hangar and did a double take. Alas, it was not a countryman, but a Breton.
The second visit was a precautionary fuel stop on a return flight from the Czech Republic. A phone call to the airport manager, who was at home enjoying Sunday lunch with his family, was answered with the assurance that he would come out to the airfield as soon as he had finished. I was very grateful for his assistance.
