A quick Google search gives you the address of the venue direct from the CAA website

You can then search websites for Travelodge, Premier Inn, Holiday Inn, Ibis etc and then put their postcodes in to
http://maps.google.co.uk to check out public transport options to/from the CAA address. Most of these hotels will have varying degrees of on-site food options, some better than others.
With all due respect, and whilst it's ok to ask for recommendations, it's difficult to do the research on your behalf as we don't know your financial circumstances and/or what exactly you are looking for. These things are easily discovered online with a a little bit of digging.
The "venue" is like a school classroom set up for an exam. But it's next-door to the main CAA building which has a waiting area, cafe etc.
Most of the roads around there are walkable, depending on how far you like to walk, but bear in mind heavy rain and morning traffic might not be a nice way to start your day on foot. Buses are extensive and can be found on Google Maps.
