Alan will need another crisis to lever down the wonder team at AIPA before an A320 ever is in mainline colours.
As I mentioned on another thread, the JQ offshore strategy is a joke and their accounting is so opaque as to make it unreadable. It is Alan and Leigh's grand vision orange to the world, but it doesn't make any money. Rumour has it finally that Bruce told them so and was sent on gardening leave.
As for the A320 replacement drama it will be preceded by a crisis manufactured or otherwise (terminal decline anyone?) and the pressure applied that Jetconnect, Network, Qantas Link, Cobham, the Botswana second XI et al will fly it unless the pilots trade away their first born children to fly it...
With the contracts on offer in Asia as supply shortage really bites, a good commuting contract may well scuttle the Oldmeadow inspired game..
Sadly pilots fall for the three card trick every time...and the union representing the pilots is hardly inspiring.
