The red eagles book and lectures at the smithosian indicated that the 21 was a far better dogfighter than given credit for ( in skilled hands ) I seem to recall there was a comparison to the f5 and they are indeed similar but the 21 had edge in acceleration and turning radius.

On another note, the tigers supplied to south vietnam where not ex iraaf but diverted from the order. So they never touched foot in Iran but guess you are technically correct.... i must find something better to do
