I am led to believe that you are correct, though things may change in the interim.
My aircraft is non EASA and I "think" I'll be safe and as such I have the feeling I won't need to go down the LAPL route at all.
The whole pile of shyte is too confusing for words, no one seems to know the truth, even the legislators can't agree on the colour of the shyte!
