The "five" is also quoted in a "Flight" article. Maybe that was the plan at the start, but didn't come to fruition. The photo I posted earlier of AGML was taken in 1946 and although the caption says BOAC, it was a QANTAS aircraft - whatever that means.
I note it carries no livery as well - question answered.
