steel cutting will start next year. However the Type 23 will remain the frigate force for years, worked hard in both peace and war. Therefore it must be supported, and that includes supporting things like Sea Wolf in ships that still have it. Remember some ships (eg
Monmouth) have only recently recieved the upgraded version and will have it for years, and deploy into harms way.
