Hong Kong can be a dangerously opportunistic, insecure and vindictive professional environment. And it doesn't stop when terminated. The most disappointing aspect of these shadows, is that they are often cast by fellow pilots, sometimes former good friends.

I'll re-read the original post, but on first glance it was quite boring and very different to the autonomous nature of flying operations I'm used to.
Oh turn it up!
If I had written some decidedly wanky account of how I saved the day on a pretty routine flight I would expect to get flamed mercilessly and not just on an anonymous forum but in real life as well.
It's the nature of this business.
You forget that a lot of our colleagues have, in the past , actually saved the day in very trying curcumstances and gone home, had a beer and shown up the next day like nothing happened.
