I doubt they will consolidate on a widebody any time soon. Unless they use a 777, then that will be a drastic cut in seat numbers.
EDI is within range for the 757, so they'll always use 757s there, keeping 767/777s available for markets further into Europe outside of the 757s range.
There was talk that United would be operating 767s all year round on the UK routes, I wonder if there was any substance in those rumours?
