Third runway to be built on ramp over M25
Does anyone understand the proposal for the new runway being a ramp over the M25? As I understand it the westerly end of the runway will be 8 metres above the general level of the airport. Is it that the runway will only be used for westerly takeoffs and easterly landings or will there be some much shorter and steeper taxiways to get planes on and off the westerly end?
