I think you will find the framed picture is from the pilots own retirement society, and nothing to do with the company.
I know what you mean about the pension scheme. I was forced to join at the age of twenty, and after contributing for thirty odd years am now enjoying the benefits.
With regard to the sendoff in Bermuda, I real treat, but it's a shame that this was organised by my family and not my company. Perhaps the flight plan form (if there still is such a thing) would be the place for the company flight planning department to add a note with regard to the individuals last flight..
