Was he asleep on the job or did he turn a blind eye to these practises......or was he otherwise engaged?
I am given to understand that the self same manager whos remit is standards and quality ( im not referring to SMS manager ...but clearly someone charged more than others to have his finger on the pulse) is also fleet manager of a fleet comprising 9 Legacy aircraft......and is also Chief Pilot.....oh and he also flies the line....oh and he also.........
How in the name of all that is common sense and safe does that work?
Any one of those jobs, given the size of LEA and the departure of so many experienced Legacy pilots , would be more than enough for one guy.
