Someone is not telling the truth here.
Her lawyers letters clearly states
These allegations are untrue. Ms Curtis-Taylor has never sought to mislead anyone aboutthe way that her flights were undertaken. By way of example, this is immediately apparent, from watching the documentary made about her 2013 flight. Whenever she is interviewedin it, she repeatedly refers to “we”, “we’re”, “everyone” and “everybody”. In a number of
shots, it is obvious that there is someone sitting in the cockpit in front of her. Finally, theDVD extras feature short films in which others are flying with her.(sic)
So how did she get quoted by Daily Telegraph journalist Nicola Harley?
When I was younger I was told by the military that I couldn't join because I'm a woman, and now look at me - I'm flying to the other side of the world on my own."
Tracey Curtis-Taylor
No sole pilot stuff there but a good solid "on my own".
Is the compliance editor lying in her email below?

I wonder how many other newspapers and magazines have 'misquoted' her?
Most if not all journalists keep shorthand notebooks or audio recordings of their interviews in case legal issues arise in the future. I would be surprised if Nicola has not got her interview filed.
