Ever stopped thinking what the major cancers for European aviation are and where they come from? Low costs, contract agencies, zero hour contracts, self employment, cadet schemes paid by pilots, flexi crew, toothless unions....you name it.
Most of these originate in UK and Ireland and then spread to the Continent.
