Obviously I don't know what the Stobart Group strategy is in this context. It could just be that by acquiring these interests now it will make any pending merger/takeover deal with Cityjet easier to complete with Invesco out of the picture. Alternatively it would obviously allow Stobart Air the freedom to commence new routes of its choosing without a Cityjet deal.
Although I have my thoughts on what will happen I don't think it would be helpful to make these known at this point in the process.
